Wright County Community Action’s
Aging Alliance is now offering REACH caregiver consulting and Powerful Tools
for Caregivers. REACH is an evidence-based program with one-on-one coaching from
a certified coach to help caregivers who are caring for an individual with a
chronic illness or Dementia. Clients learn ways to problem solve and reduce
stress through an hour or longer sessions with a coach, over several months.
Powerful Tools for Caregivers is
a 6-week 2.5-hour-long workshop designed to address self-care for individuals
caring for a chronically ill child, teen, adult, or older adult. The curriculum
is designed to address many different situations and provide tools for
caregivers, to help them reduce stress, thrive under pressure, and learn ways
to take better care of themselves, while caring for a loved one.
Program costs are on a sliding
fee scale and are income dependent. All caregivers are eligible to participate.
